Audience Sympathy Award

Artificial Intelligence Award

While it's inevitable that many will start using neural networks in art, we believe it's crucial for artists to learn to use them, rather than become servants to them. Therefore, we want to recognize the use of neural networks as an artist's tool.

Best Shot (from cut to cut) Award

A Shot is the smallest unit in the language of cinema. There are those that have embedded themselves in memory long ago and remain in people's minds. We want to acknowledge such frames in this category.

The building that houses the cinema is a cultural monument under the initial protection of the Institute for the Preservation of Monuments, built in 1903. It belonged to the court photographer Milan Jovanović.

The first film projection in it was shown in 1909. The cinema changes its name to "Zvezda" in 1946 when the company that later becomes Belgrade Film is founded. In 2007, the public enterprise Belgrade Film was privatized, and Zvezda, along with 13 other cinemas, became private property.

In 2008, the cinema was closed and left to decay. In 2014, activists, young film artists, and citizens took over the cinema in an action known as the "Occupation of Cinema Zvezda."
